What MixRoom Is

MixRoom is built around a real-world workflow: session preparation, execution, revision, and final delivery. You’ll work on a single professional record across the full duration of the program, allowing for deeper focus, stronger iteration, and more meaningful feedback.

This program is fully led by Phil ensuring direct engagement, feedback, and instruction throughout.

Program Structure

Single-Track Focus

This cohort centers around one professionally produced song, selected for its balanced complexity and real-world mixing challenges.


Week 1: Setup & Direction

  • Session organization and template preparation
  • Track layout, gain staging, and workflow setup
  • Initial approach and mix direction
  • Open Q&A on DAW translation and setup


Week 2: Core Mix Decisions

  • Deep dive into drums, low-end, and vocal processing
  • Balance, tone, and spatial decisions
  • First round of mix reviews with direct feedback from Phil


Week 3: Refinement & Delivery

  • Advanced refinement and automation
  • Translation and final polish
  • Dolby Atmos discussion and workflow insights
  • Final mix reviews and closing Q&A
